Description of Azilal Rug “Isfra”

We’re delighted to present our “Isfra” Azilal rug, a stunning combination of soft, creamy sheep’s wool featuring a striking design of bold, abstract lines and symbols in shades of magenta, blue, black, green and yellow. This distinctive piece from Berberlin is certain to bring a unique and lively character to any room.

Carefully hand-knotted in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, each Azilal rug is crafted using locally sourced wool and time-honoured Berber techniques. Known for their expressive, artful patterns, Azilal rugs often blend natural wool with colourful cotton or dyed fibres to create visually captivating pieces. A unique characteristic of this style is the added wefted row between knots, giving the rug a lighter, more breathable feel, perfect for adding texture and interest without the weight.

Every Berber rug is carefully made using sustainable, natural materials and time-honoured techniques passed down through generations, providing you with a piece that is not only visually appealing but also durable and long-lasting.
