Our colorful Kelims are handmade by the Berber women of southern Tunisia. They are all unique and often carry symbols which date back to a very long tradition of berber symbolism telling stories of family life, love or childbirth.
Already the ancient Greek mentioned the Rugs of Carthage some 500 year before Christie, and we are happy to be able to support the weaving women for this tradition to live on.
Kelim Rugs are flat weave Carpets made of dyed sheeps wool. The bright colors are what differentiates them from Rugs more commonly found in other parts of the world.
